i know it's not. but, i figured that a lot of n00bs would only know html. so i made it a choice. i would never in my life consider html a programming language.

I don't think so.
I started as a "n00b" in HTML and quickly moved up to XHTML and XML.
In my opinion, I think it takes a fair bit of skill to be able to produce a decent page with XHMTL and Level 2 CSS with the DOM standards.
Anyways, I'm moving on to bigger and better things now with PHP and MySQL.
HTML is just a starting point for some people.
