That it's a crock of shit to hold men to a higher standard than women. That it's unfair to men to say that if the woman regrets doing something stupid later she can accuse him of raping her.

At some universities (can't remember which ones right now), you do have to get a permission slip!!! You actually have to go to the administration and make it known that both of you chose to have consentual sex. Can you believe that?!?!

Shit, some women don't even need to have any alcohol in her system to be stupid/irresponsible.
A (ahem) friend of mine was engaged - ring on finger and all. We went clubbing one night and these guys tried to hook up with us. I didn't want to go, but I didn't want to leave her alone with 2 guys (she's smaller than I am and doesn't know jack shit about self defense). I had a friend who was working night shift til 8am so I called him every so often to check in.
She made a big fuss about her engagement ring never leaving her finger, but ... well, let's just say she did stuff that night her fiance would definitely not approve of. (and why the hell did the guys come after a chick w/ an engagement ring?) I was mad at her and I don't really talk to her anymore. Nothing happened to me - spent the night playing cards with the other guy and making sure that nothing bad would happen. He was probably frustrated, but too bad for him. Afterwards my friend was like "hey, the guy that you were playing cards with was coming on to you pretty strong. I can't believe you guys didn't do anything - things would have worked out better if I had 'your' guy! Mine was a bit hesitant blah blah blah blah ..."

The saying that women are weak and need protecting since they can't make decisions for themselves IS shit. There are plenty of strong women who have lived through hell and can kick major ass if you try something stupid. It's just the ones who are insecure, uncertain, afraid of offending a guy - will do anything to not be rejected, and can't say "no" that seem to leave a bad lasting impression. (Though a strong chick that kicks a guy in the balls after he tries to grope her boobs for the #th time that night will definitely leave a different kind of lasting impression ...)

Answer to why guys hit on engaged or married girls-
You don't have to call them the next day ...in fact they are probably lying in bed praying to god that you don't ever call them. You get to leave out the entire I'm only interested in sex ...nothing else conversation as it is already implied.
Not saying I agree with it ...just answering your question.

Umm.
I dated a girl who lived in the dorms at UCLA.
I had to show photo ID and sign in downstairs.
There were 3 people running the desk.
I felt guilty as I got in the (smelly) elevator.
Why should I feel guilty?
It really put a damper on the date.
This was 14 years ago.
I shudder to think what it must be like now!
