dude..that really sucks.
It might not make it any easier to handle - but other companies will pay lots more $$$$ for your skill set.
If you made it this far in their process, you can still have the surgery...and make due for a year. In the mean time, you pick up more certs, save some coin, and get a solid year experience.
In the grand scheme of things, a year isn't that long.

Well, I found a place to live in Indy for the next year (living w/my cousin in a small condo on the NW side), so now all I have to do is find a job somewhere in town. Time to call in a few favors...

I used to sleep in my lens too and it cocked my eyes up. Now after a while I can't hardly wear my lens longer than about 3 hours before my eyes burn. Also it can lead to some infections.. I took them out every three days and cleaned them like the doc said... I hate stupid DR's

Was all excited to be a Marine Corps pilot, till I found out I was too tall! DOH!

Yeah, at least there are a few advantages to being short. My entire family is under 6'.
...and my dad's an F-15 pilot, my uncle's an F-18 pilot, my other uncle's a C-5 pilot... haw haw haw...
...but I'm FUCKING COLORBLIND!

it's generally 6'3" for fighter pilots. And even then, you have to be in really tip-top physical shape at 6'3" to be one. Any taller and it's really you vs. the absolute limits of the human body.

being too tall not only means you can't fit in the cockpit but that you red out or black out too easily because of the length of your body
