 I was 22 and just about to graduate from college, had not a cent to my name, was quitting my job, had to move, and was $20K in debt for student loans.
 
 I told him that an issue of Hustler and some hand lotion would be cheaper.

 To me, the best way to get a raise is to change jobs.
 
 Changing jobs has given me, on average, a 20k a year raise starting when I got out of Military in 1997.
 
 Now I've reached a point where I don't care if I ever get another raise as long as I live.
 
 I'll probably stick with EDS till the bitter end.
