Not as popular though...
Observer, have you heard of the Commodore 65?
Supposedly there were 100 or so produced around '90 I think, but it was never released..

never had an atari, but i will defend my c-64 to the death, it had some really cool fetures, my dad used to go around telling people that their apple 2e was as fast as our disk drive, with a processor and ram in the 5 and a quarter and full schematics in the user's guide it was a hackers wet dream, too bad i didn't get into hardware hacking until a couple years ago.

i'd love to get my hands on a c-65

Just thought I'd clear this up. The stuff the C64 emulator runs are not ROM images. The only ROM images would be those of cartidges. The main emulator file format is in fact a *Disk* image. Ok, time to settle down now.

Right, sorry about the confusion, i'm just used to calling emulater images roms.

I might actually do some emulater work when i get the chance, even though i can't spell emulater today
