Don't insult me. I've been lurkin around detnet for a few years now. Just cuz my POST# is low don't mean JACK SHIT. I have been in and out with a number or different identities.

i hesitate saying this. but i'm going to anyway; only because i have no patience for stupidity and ignorance: shut the fuck up. yes, some people left to prove a point, they have been greatly missed. and yes, maybe them leaving was being elitest. but you being an arrogant prick and basically telling the Vets to 'fuck off' makes you look like the asshole.
alot of us have whined. alot of us have complained. has DetNet changed? yes. we have to face the facts that it won't ever be what it was. let it go. some of us want to leave and some are already gone, and i, for one, totally understand. DetNet was a baby. not just cr0's. it was ours. and by 'ours' i refer to the people that were here long before it was sold. and when it was put up for auction, we all died a bit inside. i think the fact that our 'baby' is still alive just hurts all of us. we know it's still there, but it's not the same. it's a site in a misery. unfortunately, we can't just kill the site. so make do with what you have. let go of the old detonate.net. this isn't the same site. move on. flame on. peace.

that's subjective beldy.
for me, there have been many issues where i've gotten important advice. this isn't _just_ a website - or rather - it wasn't just a website. it was a community. now that community has changed. and people don't like it.

everything is subjective. I understand the concept of the community and the attachment to it. I was upset as well when I though the forums were dead, but my point is that it seems a bit overboard (I hesitate to say my first instinct "pathetic") to claim that "...we died a little bit inside..." and that it "...still hurts us..." That just seems a bit ridiculous to me.
I was around before the site was sold. I don't claim to be one of the original detvets or anything (although I did lurk a bit before I registered), but I know how the site has changed as well. You say that what was important was the community. I agree. And we still have one. Yes, it's changed, but do you honestly think it would not have changed had cr0 continued? Everything changes.
Honestly, I'm not trying to be rude, or disrespectful, but if it hurts you that much to see it, then don't come and see it. There are those of us who enjoy detnet as it is now, sure we'd also like some content, but what's important to us is the forums...the community...and that is still alive.
