I think it involves clicking on buttons that don't exist in this version of iB.
On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know who the third House in Dune 2 was? Harkonnen, Atriedes, and who? This has been driving me insane for hours...

After I accidentally banned all the admins  *cough*, editor and I spoke on the phone and agreed that we needed to cut the admins down to the smallest # of people we could for the time being.
I dropped my account back to "member" as well, so that my regular posts have no more authority than anyone else. Don't see why I should get a vanity license plate while everyone else has to have the standard ones.
my old DSL account will be used for any admin stuff I have to do.

Hopefully it will be fairly permanent. We need to tighten up security, and the fewer admins the better.
As the need arises, though, they have first pick.
In the past, news posts could only be made by admins/moderators. This was a bad idea. We wound up making people moderators who shouldn't have been. A new group will be created that will allow people to make news posts without having access they don't need.

I truly hope that from all that has happened today you had finally learned that administering a site involves this site being backed on regular bases. Since there is almost no content or anything else worth saving, at least backup the mySQL database entire forums are on. It's no big deal to do it even by hand, automated process would be even easier. If there is one thing I learned from spending a lot of time in from on a computer it's to always make backups, especially if you have something very important (like forums for example).
