I just moved to a new place, and I setup my comp in the corner of my room and my monitor is getting all wobbly, you know like there is some kind of interference most likey magnetic related to power. I am directly above the washer and dryer I think they are are cause of my problem but I can’t move them or the computer being that this room only has two outlets one being on the other side of the room no where near a good corner for my L desk. SO what would be the best way to insulate my monitor from this interference? Any ideas?

sounds like the main power line runs through the wall behind your monitor.

tinfoil: Take tinfoil and place it behind your monitor on the wall.  run a wire from there to the little screw on the faceplate of your outlet.  this should ground any signal comming from the mains.  you can even paint it to match the wall.

Metal window screen works too if you do it the same way. (ground it)

i just did some investigation in the basement and the main line is in fact underneath me so the foil is not going to help me much as tapeing foil to a floor that is walked over a lot might be a problem
