Sure enough that's what happened. Man, it sucks. Fortunately I met a new woman who's good enough to listen to me when I get upset about that situation (only happened maybe 3 mos ago) and not go on some sort of jealousy trip...
As far as appearances go... the woman I lived with was 5' 2", 160lbs. Not exactly a supermodel. But she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever known... as is my new lady, who is 5' 3", 120lbs, and DOES look like a supermodel.
Here is a weird thing : women who are gorgeous by media standards get a TON of shit for it. This girl gets a constant stream of sleazy guys picking up on her. Her looks make even normally "nice" guys start bragging and trying to impress her. When she doesn't want to go out with them she gets called a bitch even though she's really polite. Reminds me of some Ani DiFranco :
