If that's an American car, you can show us a picture of it in the junkyard in the next 30k miles.  Doesn't look like a GM though, since the redline is above 6k rpm.

I've had the car for six years, but I recently was driving a hundred miles to and from work.  I put on alot of the milage last year.

And it is not a Nissan or a Toyota  ..guess again.

Edit: The turbo gauge in the lower left is a hint.

Whatever it is, it's probably 5-7 years old if he drove it hard.

 So, it's probably either a Mitsubishi 3000GT, or a Mazda RX7.

It is a Mitsubishi.  It's actually an Eclipse GST, not a 3000GT as previously guessed.  I love my car, even though it is the car of choice for FOB College students ...second to the Acura Integra of course
.  I've had it for six years and it is still running good and fun to drive.  At some point I should start thinking of getting a more respectable car, but I can't bring myself to part with my Eclipse.  Everyday I'm amazed that Mitsubishi can squeeze 210HP out of a freaking 4 cylinder.
And Mitsubishi makes jet fighters as well
