Sir? May I recommend I load myself into the reverse-thrust tubes and you use my body as decoy-fodder? This will, of course leave me splattered across deep space and unable to complete today's laundry, for which I apologise in advance.

                                | | Posted on: Apr. 03 2002,22:01 | | | April Fool's Day was the first day of a new term of classes here where I work. So of course, I just had to get my students and get them good.

I sent my Network Technology class on their mid-class break as normal. When they came back in, I told them all to put their books away and get out a pencil, we were having a test on Chapters 1 - 4.

As they started slamming books and throwing things and screaming and crying and swearing and bleating things like 'You can't do that to us!' and 'But it's the first day of school!' I broke the bad news about the essay test.

Yup. Essay test. Fifty question essay test. One hour time limit. In honor of

 APRIL FOOLS!

None of them had previously realized it was even possible for an instructor to April Fool them.

The look of utter fear and anger on their faces was so very worth it though.
