You must purify yourself by immersing your hands in molten WinXP CDs while chanting, "Jobs is a nutcase, ohmmm. Jobs is a nutcase, ohmmmm."

Win95=Mac85=Alto75.
CD's were invented in the 50's.
The original idea that inspired the internet was conceptualized in 1945.

We're using the technology of yesterday, and wondering why it sucks.

It's just a bitch that the players didn't come out until the late 80s.  Do you know how long I had to hold on to my Big Bopper CD before they invented the player for it.

Heh. Right... They created the cd less than two years after the invention of the laser (1958). Sure, I believe you...

Anyways, the actual years would be:

1970: Philips developes glass disc prototype and determines a laser would be needed to read it.

1977: Mitsubishi, Hitachi, and Sony demo digital audio disc prototypes at the Tokyo Audio Fair.

1978: Video discs released, rough specs for the cd format are developed (polycarbonate, 115 mm, track running from inside to outside, type of laser)

1979: First prototype cd, specs modified to 44.1kHz 16bit audio format, diameter changed to 120 mm.

1980: Standard first proposed by Sony & Philips.

1981: Standard accepted by Matsushita and Digital Audio Disc Committee. Sharp produces semiconductor lasers.

1982: Compact Discs and players first released in Europe and Japan by Sony and Philips.

1983: Compact Discs released to US. First CD-ROM prototypes.

etc, etc.

BlackFlag: Once again, you are wrong.
