Sithiee: That's like, the third character from an 80s movie named Booger that I've heard of. Says something about that decade.

i hate mtv now. it sucks hard dick deep-throat style and i cant stand it. mtv only plays music videos on trl and the only ones that are on trl are shitney queers and backside boys. everyonce in a while eminem is on, but ive got all his shit anyways so i still change the channel then anyways. i think they should change their name from mtv to something else that doesnt imply that they actually play music videos.

If you're listing all the good cartoons, you CAN'T forget the Gummi Bears!!!

Oh, and about MTV, yeah, it does bite the big one, that's why you watch a good music video station *cough* MuchMusic? or sometimes MTV2 isn't that bad.

the 80s.... i remember them. most of them.
somewhere, i still have my atari, the original "pong"... my first "computer"..that little texas instruments computer.

back when there were synthesizers and madonna didn't have that faux british accent.. when saturday morning had cartoons on all the channels (we only got 6 channels) and it wasn't 4 hours of news.

then i look out there today. the raver kid who's wearing the atari t-shirt has never actually seen an atari, and doesn't remember coleco-vision. the dude who quotes 'hackers' constantly has never seen 'war games' and doesn't know who 'johnny 5' is. dawson's creek can rip off the breakfast club, because the crowd that watches it is too young to remember molly ringwald, judd nelson, and that emilio estevez used to be in decent movies (before those duck ones).

i miss the 80s... but i sure as hell didn't want them to come back /this/ way.

hackers sux0red, it was completely inaccurate...when "hacking" pretty pictures and formulas and words do not fly all over your screen...but wargames rocked, i dunno if it was 100\% accurate, but at least like 100 times more so than hackers...plus he used 5.25" disks....i had those =)

The best scene in short circuit is when #5 reprograms the other robots as the three stooges.

War Games - I do believe those were 8" disks. Predating the 5 1/4" Disks by a while.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

And about hackers, I look at it as entertainment. They showed that the FBI has a distorted view of hackers, and the movie itself showed the distorted view that Hollywood has. I still watch it when I need a laugh. Or I just read cr0's bastardization.
