I like the 80s. I liked the 80s before it was trendy to like stuff from the 80s. I mean, without the 80s, a lot of really good movies, cartoons, and maybe a couple bands wouldn't exist.

No 80s = None of the better Bill Murray movies. And also no Oingo Boingo. And the very thought just makes me sad.

I must say there were people who made music in the 80's (Police, REM, Peter Gabriel my faves) that kicked ass, but these were just 70's bands in the 80's. The 80's music scene consisted of a lot of synth-pop crap which was just awful, let me list
- Wham/George Michael
- Boy George
- A-HA
- Pseudo Echo
- Tina Turner
- Tiffany
- Glenn Mederos(sp?, fuck who cares)
- Rick Astley
- other pointless shit

and all these other flouro wearing-guitar keyboarding-electronic drumming-crappy lyric groups which unfortunately throughout the 90's were rehashed into something worse...

However the 80's were glorious for the television shows, especiall cartoons...
- Diff'rent Strokes "What you talkin about Willis?"
- Astro-Boy
- Star Blazers
- The Goodies
- Battle of the Planets
- Voltron
- Ulysses
- Knight Rider
- A-Team
- Webster
- Inspector Gadget
- Bananaman
- need i go on....

regards, reman

As far as fashion goes, I wore t-shirts and jeans all the way through the 80's and i still wear t-shirts and jeans, i'm not really a slave to fashion, and i probably never will be.

Gary Numan.

Anyways, it's like I said in the sex forum: I wish life were like an 80s movie, because EVERYONE got laid in those. Even Anthony Michael Hall.

hey Reman,

all the tv shows you listed...

I don't really like 80's stuff. SOME of the music is okay, but more for campy enjoyment... the clothes were kinda stupid... the TV shows were alright, I guess, but I gotta say that I like 90's stuff better (sure, there's waay more crap, but a lot of good shows too)... the 80's had good movies though.

I was likely concieved to either the tunes of ABBA or the Bee Gees.... now that's positively frightening.
