Only time I've had to re -install windows is when I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del during boot.Don't do that. Somehow fux0red everything up. I had to format my HD and reinstall everything. One other time when I installed an eperimental hacked driver for my video card...couldn't seem to fix it, had to reinstall.
It's not that bad if you hve backups of everything. Especially if you have a big enough harddrive and you back everything up on another partition..Cleans your system anyway...

i had to reformat my whole computer when my friend spilled beer on the cable modem which some how then FUCKED EVERYTHING UP. took me 4 tries to get the computer up and working again in win98, after those damn 2 hr installs finding it still was fucked, ahh 8 hrs of my life wasted
