its not about a revolution, its about respect for our fellow humans. If some no name band wants to put their music on napster for people to download, thats one thing. They are giving permission, but when bands like metallica say they dont want it out there, yours and my respect (that we would all want if we were in there place) means we dont do it. Simple as that.

By the way, napster says in their terms of use document that they retain the right to kick you off their service at any time with or without cause. Also, people who say that napster is not for mp3 trading, your wrong, Napster identifies itself as a trading post for mp3s, not for any old type of files. They claim to be big on protection of intellectual property, but they arent doing anything about it. This is what i spent 5th period looking up today. Isnt history class fun?

intellectual property is a very grey area if you know about it. but to be honest people will do this, its human nature, and i dont see myself in the minority when i say i now buy much more music cos i have mp3s of bands i dont normally listen to.

personally, id say the real problem is students in general. im sure most other people do pay for most of their music. most students get this high speed internet access and they say "hey look dude, i dont have to pay for music" and they feel that since they can do it, and people arent about to stop them, that its ok. My sister (who is a dumb bitch....that will probably be discussed at a later date) has lots of mp3s, and she says to me "its ok though, because i pay for most of the music i download" not counting the fact that most should be all, im always hearing her play music, and not once (and this is on a daily basis almost) has she ever answered yes that she bought the music. This is one reason why i think most people who say they pay for it, dont, or dont care...its a sad sad world.
