Well, Kbreak went and bought himself Detonate.net. Goodie for him. About the last person to understand the community, now heads the community. Good show! Well, at least he offers up some of the more, erm, adult... pictures he has had the, erm, privilege (?)... Of photographing. Maybe he does understand the community.
Local news aside, let's move on to global.
For those Regheads, the register has spawned a US site. They offer biting sarcasm in dollars, miles, and Fahrenheit. not a bad thing, now, isn't it...
Sand Grain awards:
The Sand Grain awards are so-named because a grain of sand is almost impossible to remove from your eye without a lot of work, and it so happens to be very annoying.
* Pop[up,under,over] windows, windows that hijack the normal OS look by devious graphics and/or HTML manipulation, banner ads, and unnecessary flash/java.
* CSS changing of scrollbar colors. They're there for a reason, people. I hate odd color schemes.
* Disabling the right click menu. I use it to download files, view source, open in a different window, and when I mouse left handed, to click normally.
* Lazy writers who can't use a spellchecker, or follow common grammar rules. Get a fucking English class, or write in your native language, so that Babelfish can frag your language, so you don't have to...
* Trojan advertising programs. My sister downloaded a Trojan from Live Online Portal somehow, it then proceeded to hijack every explorer window once an hour, pop up an advertisement every 5 minutes, and make a few sites come up as unreachable, because it hijacked the automatic "search" results, and wouldn't allow you to turn off auto search. They get the detonate.net "Asbestos Cork" award, for being Flaming Assholes. Nice job guys, don't keep up the 'good' work...

I'd like to close the rant with a phrase, stolen from NMap's help file...
Some options are specific to certain scan modes.
nmap tries to catch and warn the user about psychotic or
unsupported option combinations.

woot, thanks for the cheap AnalogyPolice plug there canni - I've just had a cunning idea for a source of content, which I shall post in whateverthefuck the forum for "us giving kbreak some content ideas" is called :-)
I'll also get off my lazy arse and set my forum sig and stuff up for here, too
