$DETVET and I designed a RISC R-2000 series processor in VHDL using Mentor Graphics Renior and Leonardo Modelsim.
We wrapped and ported it to a WildOne WildFire FPGA and ran synthesis tests on the processor, the memory module and the cache. We designed it in both multi-cycle and pipeline.
That geeky enough?

Then I took that design and sold it to a computer assembly company in Taiwan. I gave Kuru stock options in the now defunct corporation that handled the transaction only after I sold out ...well before word of the bad accounting practices were made public. It's a shame really.

Welcome Vulu! No, the flames are mostly in the other forums! I got my mitts on detnet, I'm editor, and if you don't hate me, you probably will later....I'm working on getting a site up and the emails are a little iffy, so if you'd like to flame me you can start now. Ask Dysoderia why I'm crap! Catch up on the fun!

Prove your geekie worthyness.... Say something geek-ish. |
The other day in college I got caught taking the piss out of one of the lecturers, so she asked "Are you paying attention, what impact does it have on the economy of the technology world"
I had no idea what she was talking about because I obviously wasn't listening, but I spouted off some good geeky bull shit and when I had finished she actually thought I had made a good point and thanked me for my usefull insights.
How good am I.
Does that count as being a geek or being lucky?
