Let me explain... for a while I belived that the ratio of men to women in Bellevue/Redmond was very man heavy. So I checked the census and it says that it's only slightly less women. I was confused at first. But I did some more research and found that 2% of the women in my age range (18-25) are single. I also found that 70% of the married women moved here from another city ONLY because of their relationship. Basically it boils down to the fact that most of the women here are basically import wives to rich nerds. Honestly if I had money... I'd buy me a nice wife, but while I'm in college it's not possible.
So to answer your question, yes. It's very rare to meet a chick in person here. On top of that, I only like a very small percentage of people, let alone women. So it's also pretty rare for me to enjoy her personality.
