I went shopping for shoes yesterday (this weekend there is no sales tax in MD). Anyway I found a really cool pair of basketball shoes at foot locker that were fairly cheap. I asked the guy if I could see them in a 9 1/2, and he said the smallest size they carry them in was a 12 ! I felt so inadequite at that point...

My feet are 9 1/2 but they're H width.. so i end up having to get sized 12 shoes just so they're wide enough..

Damn the dicky aspect ratio of my feet!

On a related note, I've had the same problem...except with a different shoe...
A Nike shoe I tried on...I've got size 12 feet...but...they needed even bigger...
Oh well.

I wear an 11 1/2, and don't really have problems shopping for shoes. I've got friends (women) who bitch that they can't get anything because their feet are too large. They look normal to me. Go figure.

I LOVE shoes! I own 35 pairs of shoes (ask Observer he saw them)- and I just got three more this past weekend. Most of them are black and skechers (my fav shoe brand)-- I need shoe therapy I think.

I wear a size 6 women's shoe so every shoe looks nice on my feet. Thank god I got blessed with small something cause god knows nothing else on my body is.
