have you looked in the Close Program box?
-------------- Sir? May I recommend I load myself into the reverse-thrust tubes and you use my body as decoy-fodder? This will, of course leave me splattered across deep space and unable to complete today's laundry, for which I apologise in advance.

I know I read something recently about a file that people had downloaded, which changed the settings within IE.
It's a semi-disguised type of trojan (but not even a trojan in its truest sense).
If you havn't already, run your Windows Update to download the latest MS IE security patch. Microsoft recently made an announcement of a programming flaw that allows this kind of thing to happen.
I'll let you know if I come up w/ anything else.
