First off, why sould you believe what an Iraqi official has to say about anything of importance to Washington? Sending out an ex-official with a built up story about nukes would be a great way to get Bush running scared, maybe do something rash, and turn the entire Middle East, or maybe even the entire world, against America.
As for kicking the inspectors out, that is what the security force is for, if the Iraqis try anything against the inspectors, marines stations on ships in the Persian Gulf go in and hold off the enemy while a full size force is mobilized. That would be a great way to make a legitimate invasion of Iraq, force them to attack the inspectors to prevent them from finding whatever. Then the international community would agree that we should retaleat by sending troops and taking out Hussain.
