(User Info | Send a Message) http:// | Wow. Just wow. That was the least insightful, poignant, focused post I have ever seen. Ever. Complete with three "t"s in the word "bullshittt."
First of all, let me step in and defend Lord of the Rings. Fairies and Angels are absent from both movies, and the third will be unless something drastic changes. From this I can deduce that Mr. Slimson has not seen either movie, or if he has, that he has forgotten most of it. Secondly, Mr. Slimson's only problem with The Lord of the Rings series seems to be that it is not based in modern times. That's right, it's a fantasy setting. His problem is it's genre, not any specific parts, not acting, writing, effects, etc. His problem is the genre. Obviously, he went into the post with quite an open mind.
Now, as for The Matrix Reloaded, yes, it was a good movie, and yes, I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, I would not call this the best movis I have seen, simply because I have seen OTHER MOVIES. That THIS is the best movie Mr. Slimson has seen speaks volumes without the rest of the post. THE best? Good yes, but best? No. This movie could have lost some scenes. *cough* Morpheus' speech to Zion *cough* rave *cough* Also, the character Agent Smith has turned from menace into ninja-cockroach. You see one, and you KNOW there's gonna be more.
Well, now that I've wasted 15 minutes typing a rebuttal to a post that took Mr. Slimson 18 seconds to whip off, no doubt, I shall conclude that he is an uninformed, uncultured idiot. Thank you, and goodnight. |
