At least seven people were killed Wednesday when an explosion went off in a cafeteria at Hebrew University in East Jerusalem, hospital officials said.

Police called the blast a terrorist act, and Palestinian sources in Gaza said that the Islamic fundamentalist group Hamas was claiming responsibility for the explosion.

Hamas said the bomb was in retaliation for last week's Israeli attack in Gaza that killed the commander of Hamas' military wing and 14 others, including nine children.

The U.S. State Department has designated Hamas as a terrorist organization. The group's military wing, Izzedine al Qassam, previously has admitted responsibility for terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians as well as attacks against the Israeli military.

Damn, thats the second time in two days. And the "israeli attack in gaza" that was mentioned in the story was a one ton bomb dropped on an apartment building. This has got to stop.
