Civ III Expansion Announcement ... paraphrased "It's really great, we added a bunch of things that we didn't get to add because we rushed the product to makret. Not only did we sell you an incomplete product (which you bought!!! dumbass), but we're going to have the gall to charge YOU even more if you want a product that's _almost_ useful."
And software companies wonder why people are so willing to pirate software? Hell, some of the stuff I've been looking forward to and bought I've given away/sold in under a week. Some of the games I've pirated, aren't even worth the CDR that I burned them on. And what the hell happened to innovation in the game market? What up with all this "we want to combine the two genre's" crap, practically every game I've palyed that's mentioned that in the "development" stage has sucked ass. Maybe if the game companies didn't make sure they'd squeezed ever last drop out of every single idea before trying to come up with some new ones, we might actually have a hard time making a top 10 games of the year list for a reason other than, there weren't enough to fill the list and none of the mediocre ones did enough to distinguish themselves enough to make it.

I don't know whether to ask "How could they do this to us?" or "OOH! What new features does the expansion have?"
I hope they fixed the combat system, i'm tired of losing my tanks to pikemen.

um some of those new features sound like total CRAP. real time mode? capture the flag mode??? hey, I'd love to play civ 3 multiplayer as much as the next guy, but this sounds suspiciously retarded...

I have to agree, i love civ3 but come on capture the flag mode? WTF!

yes, I think they jacked their random number generator from the axis and allies pc game. as far as CTF mode, ugh, that's all I can say. That, and DIE FIRAXIS DIE, I WILL NEVER PAY FOR ONE OF YOUR PRODUCTS AS LONG AS I LIVE.
