Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men" points out some misconceptions about America, especially about Bill Clinton's presidency.  It is very humorous and is a light read, but can be a bit preachy.  Anyone else read the book?  Thoughts?

I personally didn't know Bush (jr.) takes naps everyday.

I would be skeptical about reading Michael Moore, since he's one of Nader's cohorts crazy.gif . But I'm interested: what sort of misconceptions about his presidency does he talk about?

haven't read it, remember reading about it and thinking "gee, if I had time to actually read anything besides stuff for school, I'd like to read that" and just now have time and haven't gotten around to it yet.

Remember the arsenic in the water scandal at the beginninig of the Bush presidency?  The law requiring lower arsenic in water was not going to take effect until 2004, so Bush didn't INCREASE the poison in the water, he just overturned a Clinton decision to lower it 4 years after Clinton leaves office.  That's just one, there's a whole list of "why Clinton was the best REPUBLICAN president ever."

All i've ever seen on michael moore is him doing a poor attempt at something at which mark thomas does a much better job. All he does is really pull stupid stunts that don't actually do anything whereas mark thomas manages to do them AND actually put the effort in to do something about the issues as well. He seems to point out facts that other people have found out rather than go hunting for ones that Mark has found by proper research.

If you dont watch channel 4 UK tv you wont know who i'm talking abou.

guh? the only reason I can think of is that he was such a piss-poor president, he made his party look like the bunch of fools that they are, which is helping the repubs now :p
