Welcome Lila, congrats on exposing the true nature of the DetNet forums with one thread. :p
I especially enjoy the fact that we managed to incorporate flaming, an attempt at wit, the misunderstanding of said wit, and a useless reply within 5 posts.

We do not have any particular disregard for the fruits of female intelligence, but so far we have seen little fruits of lilas intellect to judge.

So can we all just chill and not hit on her for a while so she can make some intelligent posts?
Give her a little breathing room before she bags on the place because all she ever got was 'a/s/l' requests (whether you're kidding or not - after long enough as a female on the internet, you get just as tired of seeing 'j/k' at the end of it).

i am not a writer.
faint music played in the background. mustard plug wasn't really mustard plug at all. the light was off, but she could still see what she needed to thanks to the lava lamp across the room. she lied in bed, on her side. was she going to get up? was she going to go back to sleep? more important things raced through her mind. thousands of thoughts per second. she was slowly sinking further and further into the mattress; if she was lucky, it'd swallow her whole. her eyes were open and staring at the wall which had a redness to it, thanks to the lava lamp across the room. though, she was thinking too much to even notice that her eyes were even open. questioning, worrying, regretting, hoping, fearing. sinking. and if she did sink through the mattress, where would she end up? finally, she closed her eyes. while she was sinking further down, her cat jumped up and lied down on her pillow next to her. once again, her eyes opened up but her wall was gone. only the dark fur of her cat was to be seen. she stared into the darkness with a new fear. was the darkness going to swallow her whole before or after her mattress does? again, thousands of thoughts came and cluttered her mind. her eyes were open, but she wasn't using them. blankly staring off into the dark fur. how can you not know if you're happy or depressed? a while goes by, and the sound of an ambulance could be heard from outside. and with that, the cat jumped away. goodbye darkness. hello wall. how could she be sinking so much but never drown? was this some sick torture? was she going to get up? was she going to try and sleep? it was 6.30am. she should have gotten up already. sinking. will she leave the mattress barren? sinking. will her thoughts leave her immobile? sinking. was she afraid of what was waiting outside? sinking. she didn't really care. now powerless and weak, she gave in. the mattress took her and swallowed her whole like she had wished for.
*buzz* *buzz* *buzz* *buzz* *buzz* *buzz* *buzz*
it's 5.00am, time for her to wake up. she was feeling very listless, and didn't even want to get up. couldn't get up? she decided to roll over on her side and think for a while...
