HAHAHA that was my favourite part of the movie, when they have to start fights with strangers; i especially like the dood who starts a fight with a priest.

I kinda liked both movies, but you're right..you have to watch it more than once to actually get what's going on.

and all of you complaining about "how could tyler have been driving if he was just a figment of ed's imagination..." same kinda thing with tyler holding the gun in ed's mouth.... use your fucking imagination here...most of the shots we see are through ed's eyes, not through the eyes of an observer...and as for him getting out of the drivers seat...maybe that wa a clue to tell us "hey wait...ed was actually driving" i mean really...

Okay, Fight Club fucking sucked.

I know you're all gonna kill me, but put down the corkscrew and hear me out. I read the book before I saw the movie (and some jackass spoiled the secret before THAT). And I mean, the movie was good, but the book worked better. Plus I never did get to see the movie on the big screen, which I guess detracted from it.

By the way, in the scene with Fight Club members trying to start fights with strangers, anybody know the name of that song that's playing?

The song that was playing was an odd remix of an old russian folk song: Kalinka.
Ask any russian, they'll know.

As much as i loved the matrix, i'm gonna have to say Fight Club was better.
Matrix was a great analogy, and used that litle htought everybody has in the back of their minds, except the concept was completely thought through, and had occasional idealistic tendencies. And the end had that typical american hapy crap ending.
Fight Club was genious, i could find no argument with it. the philosophy is though through. I was realy surprised, it was almost everything i was ranting about, demonstarted well. in the end fight club said "fuck it, u dont need it", while the matrix just looked at the shiny leather pants and said "oooooohh".

I just saw fight club last night and if i have to pick between fight club and the matrix, i pick the matrix (see...i even just sorta like modified a line from it there...) I think fight club was cool and its really confusing...hell im still thinking of how stuff would have been if i was there (him talking to himself...stuff like that) but still i laughed like no ones buisness when the guy was sprayin water at the guy with the suit on..during the start a fight part but still, i guess im just a matrix fan at heart because i love that movie..dont like cut my balls of for sayin this stuff tho or else i might have to take a blue pill and forget it all

If any of you are looking for a good mind fucking, check out the movie "Cube" Be warned tho. There's only miniscule amounts of action (mostly people being mangled). And for my vote 'tween Matrix and Fight Club, I gotta say Fight Club.

No, I don't bother to read everyone elses post, just the original.

Fight Club has more relation and can be identified with by the average American, albeit that Tyler Durden seemed to be leaning (if not fallen directly into the category of) communist/socialist. "We reject the basic assumptions of civilization, especially the importance of material possessions." Destroying credit records, a franchise coffee house, corporate art, and the way he treated and preached to members of "Project Mayhem."
Kinda funny, actually. The Matrix has no intellectual implications besides the fact that most bosses are fucking assholes ("The time has come to make a choice, Mr. Anderson...")

Ok, Cube, Seen part of it... not the beginning... I think I'll go convince my parents to rent fight club... however... I (at the moment) vote matrix (obvious reasons... I've seen it...)

For the past few weeks, I've been at my wit's end trying to decide on which movie I'm going to vouch for. But I've been completely unable to come to a final decision. Both movies literally knocked me on my ass when I saw them. Right now, I would REALLY like to see Fight Club more than I would like to see the Matrix. But, there's a good reason for that; I've had the Matrix on DVD since the day it came out, yet I've only seen Fight Club about 5 times. So, I've gotten a little used to The Matrix, while Fight Club is fresh in my mind. The main thing I'm factoring in here is my original reaction the first time I saw either movie, and I simply CANNOT come to a conclusion. I believe this argument is best left unsaid, at least in MY case.

cr0bar? Aren't you going to drop a line on YOUR opinion here?
