I built my grandparents a fan with a built-in sterling engine.
On their farm in the wintertime, they can put the fan on the big furnace in the living room, and the furnace would provide the necessary heat to drive the engine, and the fan would blow heat across the room, and slowly enough so that the air stayed warm...it was pretty cool
at least I thought it was pretty cool...
