ok we all know how much metallica sold out..

well I was panning on going to the GA show for kid rock etc...and hoping there might be some good old skewl metallica goin on...probably not...bastards...

and we got this idea...

we have a friend @ a print shop...and for a case of corona we're going to get 5000 flyers printed up of Metallica sucking napsters NUTZ!! and we'll be handing these out @ the show sticking em on cars...thinking about bumper stickers....I'd drop a few hundred on free bumper stickers for metallica sucking napsters nutz...

How so? cuase the complied with a court order? I may not be up to date but Metallica pissed me off first in selling out with their music and they this crap with napster...Limp didn't have a prob with it napster's sponser their tour...and how come they didn't sue imesh or the other ones...

cause they suck and wanted to make a point I'm renaming all my mp3's from Metallica - anything to

Sell Outs - some shit.mp3

hehe...fine with me! Rename all you want I still like Metallica, and I'm not pissed at them for what they did...I think I would've done the same if I were in there shoes...But I don't know really...and actually don't care either...

The only thing I actually have to say about this by now, is
too bad Napster users! You broke the law and ruined your opportunity to have a kickass program.

Maybe ... and I know I posted on the RIAA thread contravening this, but I've changed my opinion. The drummer from Metallica gave Slashdot an interview and he puts some good points across. The links below if anyone is interested.

if anyone read the comments section and saw the "conversation" that kolben and i had, you know my opinion on this. but about us ruining our chance at the program, not quite. there are many ways to get around that, many of them very easy. so we didn't even get punished. i can still download metallica it i wanted to, and the whole point of this is lost because 90\% of the people kicked off are going to get right back on the same way. stupid guys trying to do something good going about it in a completely moronic way. oh, well. it kept me busy for a little while anyway.

DrChaos, you dont seem to realize that napster isnt trying to be the bad guy in this. If you look at it in an unbiased manor, you, the users downloading metallica, are making napster the victims. Metallica and all the other artists who dont like being fucked up the ass, are fighting back, and because suing individual users would be incredibly hard, they have to sue the service that cant block the illegal trading. Because you, the user are doing the illegal trading, you are the ones screwing your beloved napster.

##! Begin Point
BTW, just to point out for the Nth time, anyone logging onto napster and sending out or downloading mp3's is actually breaking the law. Not just the ones that get or send Metallica, so you cant really say shit about anything when it comes to that.
##! End Point
