Ok, i don't know much about web design, but here's what im assuming needs to be done (other than generating content) to make a basic site (which is all that you really need for now).....

1. design, code, make graphics for front/main page.
2. design, code, make graphics for similar template page to be filled with additional content, to be linked to from main page.
3. (optional) create nifty code and graphics to get main page to pop different frame up when links for different content catagories are clicked.

Hasn't all of this already been done by Azntac and/or Wiley?!

Doesn't matter.  There's no content to be put up.  So make some content.  Get it ready to put up.  I'm working on the site.

How much web design, front-end and back-end, have you done?  The aforementioned quote is similar to saying:

1:  Design, build, and paint a car from scratch.  Why aren't you done yet?

In order to make this site something that can be easily used by a variety of people, the proper db needs to be designed and built, and the proper dynamic code with efficient hooks into the db needs to be built.  Also remember that a quick demo page with some nifty flash is loads different from a fully-funcitoning website.

Please remember that Anztac has RL, including work, to deal with and back off a bit, mmmkay?

Sorry if I'm coming off a bit harsh, but it's a little more involved than futzing around in FrontPage for an hour.

im not saying its easy, or that i know how to do it.... what im saying is 'didn't someone already do that?'

Hey, thanks Jynx :)

I've made an HTML template BF ( < http://earthgate.octlet.net/temp/detnet2/ > ), but like Jynx says, that's a far cry from a usable backend system.

so............ in other words, there needs to be a system whereby someone who knows no code can add content to the system (such as ed)?  Ok, i guess that does sound a bit harder.

Hey, thanks Jynx :)

n/p Anz - I do e-commerce websites for a living, and so I've dealt indirectly the moron salesmen who can't figure out why I can't do the Impossible by Tuesday.

At least BF says "ok, I believe you" instead of "But it's not that hard to add variable pricing!  So what if that 'infrastructure' thing isn't set up for it?  Just do it!"

<edit>Er, alegorically speaking, of course.   :p</edit>

Oh, of course!  I mean, allegorically speaking there's this stupid bitch who's ruining my perfectly good website design and complaining that it's sad and ugly, though most everyone else I've asked told me it made them happy (I don't get that) and it was nice.  She's making me put up miscreant pictures and catch phrases.  Changing shit that shouldn't be changed.  'Course I'm not getting paid that much.  So fuck the bitch.  Allegorically speaking of course :D
