Read this board for a while now. I'm in Australia. And before any of you ask, no, I don't have a fucking pet kangaroo, or koala.

Thank-You.

So you're down there towards Antarctica?

Rilly?

So it's fall right now, right?

I ask every Aussie,
So what direction does water spiral when it goes down the drain?

I get a different answer every time.

Have fun at Detnet!

Geek forum. Once or twice in the classroom.

What I mean is that you have made more than 50 odd posts before coming here...

That's obvious.

Hello.

Hello.

So what did you mean by that question?  ???

I didn't really notice this board until recent.

I meant you must have posted elsewhere; how else could you make so many quotes in one post?

People are so wary these days

That just won't do  ....we need complete monogomy here.  You need to sever ties with any other forum or newsgroup.  IRC is ok only if it is our channel.  You will cease to exist outside of Detnet.  You will be remembered as Deja Vu and dismissed as such.  Ok?

Yeah, if you want. If you're good, you can come along to the footy with me. :D

Won't be much swimming done here round this time of year.

And due to our hopeless economy, $1US = $2AUS. So you can probably buy lots of shit here for next to nothing.

*kuru sees the scene unfolding on SNL

There are two guys with a booth. The sign says 'We know what women want.'

A third guy walks up to the table and asks, 'How do you know what women want?'

The guys behind the booth reply, 'We asked them.'

Third guy says, 'Shit, that must be a lot easier than hacking their e-mail accounts, tapping their phones, looking through their bedroom windows with binoculars, reading Cosmo and buying flowers.'

Then they all sit around scratching their heads and wondering why nobody thought of this a few thousand years ago.

Okay Okay.  Hey on a completely unrelated note, what's the deal with the messaging thing?
Posted by editor on May 31 2002,20:42
It won't work.

You can email her, though.
Posted by kuru on May 31 2002,22:13
If 'her' is kuru, the ICQ, AIM and Yahoo! IDs are all valid and actually me.
Posted by Pravus Angelus on May 31 2002,22:14
I'm not trying to contact anybody I just want to know why I can't use it.

Is there any particular reason why it doesn't work...?
Posted by kuru on May 31 2002,22:19
It doesn't work.

If you want to contact someone, use one of the other methods.

please don't tell me you actually think the water in the toilet spins differently because of earth's gravitational feild. i never stop laughing at people who say in japan water spins the other way when you flush the toilet because they are on the other side of the earth.
Posted by damien_s_lucifer on Jun. 04 2002,09:40
water spinning down the drain can go either way in either hemisphere.

however, hurricanes and other very large vortices spin counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern due to the < Coriolis effect. >
Posted by kuru on Jun. 04 2002,11:58
The Coriolis effect plays a role in long range shooting, and has to be adjusted for.

North south shooting means that you might be left or right of your target depending on which direction you're shooting and how the earth spins.

Fun, eh?
