I know that you need to initialise the video card but is it possible? Posted by marc c on Jun. 14 2000,14:50I would assume that it would be possible to have a short video play upon power-on (I assume this is what you mean) but it would mean extensive hacking of your bios. In other words, if you have to ask, it's beyond your doing. ------------------ Posted by kuros- on Jun. 14 2000,15:22Haved tried altering the BIOS, didn't work. Posted by aventari on Jun. 14 2000,15:29you tried altering the bios?? what did you do, look in the setup screen? You'll hvae to go in and actually edit the code on you bios to add a movie or splash screen or something. i dont know anyone with the tools to do that ------------------ Posted by Happyfish on Jun. 14 2000,18:38You might be able to write your own boot partition code or something, after the POST, that's all I can think of..but then you have to do all disk access yourself, directly or through BIOS (INT) calls. So you'd have to write your own movie player too. Sounds like a pain in the ass, but it's be cool.
