Vizzini: But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine it from what I know of you. Are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemy's? Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you...But you must have known I was not a great fool; you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.

Man in Black: You've made your decision then?

Vizzini: Not remotely! Because Iocaine comes from Australia. As everyone knows, Australia is entirely peopled with criminals. And criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me. So, I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.

Man in black: Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

Vizzini: Wait 'till I get going!! ...where was I?

Man in black: Australia.

Vizzini: Yes! Australia! And you must have suspected I would have known the powder's origin, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.

Man in black: You're just stalling now.

do you ever have a confusing conversation, and then half way through, the person explains what was confusing and says somethin like "i thought you knew!"??

example: i was trying to get a ride to a concert from my friend. and i figured since i got up early on a saturday, and waited around to get his tickets, that it was the least he could do. so i asked him, and he said no. i kept asking why, and he said "i just cant" and then he ignored me, untill finally he yells "Jesus Christ, Im already taking 6 other people!!" (he has a minivan) and as you can see, i obviously didnt know, but it really pissed me off that he yelled at me because i couldnt read his mind....

I don't know, can you be immune to poison?

Oh, to get back on topic, people always do that to me. I.E: My mom wanted me to mail a package at the post office. I thought I could get around to it in 1/2 hour. She went to mail it, and then informed me that the post office would have closed by the time I wanted to go. I would have gone right away had I known that.

yes people can be immune to poisen, but your not just magically immune to it. if you take doses of it over a long period of time you eventually grow a resistance to it. like with people who do drugs, if you do it long enough it will eventually take more and more to get the same effect. same thing works with poisen. i think romans or greeks or something along those lines, they used to work up a resistance to certain poisens by giving their children doses of the poisen for years. i think i learned that from The Invisible Man, which is by the way my favorite show now. its on the sci fi channel. sorry i had to plug it.

Call me clueless, but how the hell did this thread go so quickly from "people who think you are telepathic" to "how to build up a poison resistance."
