Let me beat a dead horse for a minute.
1) Editor, you're not cr0. Don't try to be cr0. cr0 is gone, and it's probably for the better. RS said it himself -- he got tired of it. His end of detnet died. It's all gone, and all that's left is his bastardizations. They're funny. You paid for them. They're yours. These forums are more important than those bastardizations. Let the 'vets bitch and moan about how much stuff has changed. Doesn't matter. It's not going to change back. If they don't like it, let them leave. More will come.
2) RS is wrong. Yes, detnet was part of his life. Not anymore. I might feel the same way if one of my partners sold my game to a gaming network. It won't change the fact that it happened. Sure, it's a part of my life that I've worked a hell of a long time on -- longer than cr0 and RS did with detnet. It may be an 'insult to my original work.' Being bitter won't help. They sold it. End of story. They can't ask for it to change because they don't like what the buyer did with it.
3) Don't give up on us. The 'vets may be leaving, people may be deciding it's not worth it, but there's still a few of us out here, the lurkers and 'newbies' who liked detnet for who it's made up of and not what it contains, who would do anything to keep it around.
