I admit, I'm not one for change when it comes to keyboards and mouses, but the plans for the mouses of tomorrow are flat out stupid. Making the mouse heavier when you drag a window? Having a propeller in the mouse spin when you shoot a chaingun in Half-life (okay, that might be cool)? But I think it would serve more of a distraction than a tool used to help capture the user into the game's world. Is anyone in agreenace with me on this? Or am I a flea on a soap box?

i dont know how they could make a mouse heavier....but the propellor thing sounds good in theory, i mean, isnt the whole point of a game to realistically portray something you couldnt do in real life? that would add a shitload to realism, if it was realistic..somethings are excessive, but you should give it a chance before you rule it out simply because it sounds bad...it was xerox that passed up the mouse in the first place, right?

how 'bout those lame Logitech mice that "bump" when you roll over a button?

I'm sorry, but if you need force feedback just to operate Windows, you should be shot.

I'm sticking with my non-force-feedback Graphire pen & tablet...

I don’t know about that propeller thing; it works pretty well in console controllers, but I don’t think I would want to have my mouse vibrate. When you are playing a game like half-life, or any other FPS, you need to make VERY precise movements. I, for one, wouldn’t want my mouse to be vibrating all over the place when I am trying to put that crosshair dead center on some fucknuggets forehead.

And Damien is right, it would be kind of stupid for anything other then gaming.
