Well, I will make one suggestion. Wear tighty-whities whenever you don't want to be flopping about. They're much better at binding ol' willie than boxers.
One thing that helps me is to think of something really sad, like that scene in the movies of the concentration camp survivors all lined up against the fence, or that part of Saving Private Ryan where the guy slowly gets stabbed by that German dude.
