If you're nice, she can't bitch about it. Don't do 'guys only' lunches. Invite her. If she seriously loathes you, she'll make an excuse not to go, but at least then she is in no position to bitch about you two going alone.
Your friend will come around to the fact the she's a wench if you do your best to placate things. Don't bring it up with him, let him see it. He'll approach you and probably apologise for her actions at first and then he'll see that she's not such a nice person to be around.

When he's seen it, and you've discussed it, then if it's just as bad or gets worse, just excuse yourself and tell him that you don't want to screw things up for him but the girl will simply not give you a breather. Tell him that you don't want to stop being friends and that he can come and see you when she quits moaning about it. You know how guys get when they feel their freedom is being inhibited. Her actions are inhibiting his choice to be with his buddies. He'll come around.
Remember, you've been buddies for 4 years and if they're in a primarily sexual relationship, he might come to the realisation that it's not working once the 'giddiness' of a new squeeze has faded.

keep hanging out with your friend anyway. the chick needs to realize that she's his girlfriend, not a new appendage. guys should have time to do 'guy things' without their girlfriends around.. if she insists on coming everywhere with you, he'll have to be the one to tell her that this is 'guy time'

eventually he'll realize that she's smothering him. be there for him when that happens so that he feels he's got someone to turn to.

Ok, my friend for 4 years recently started going with this new girl. I'm really happy for him ,and even helped them get together. One problem though, she can't stand me. I've made every attempt to be her friend ,but she just puts me off.

She recently got into a fight with my friend because me and him went out for a "guy's only" lunch without her. I don't want to wreck my friends relationship ,but I don't want to just stop hanging around with him either.

This might not be the right place to ask ,but any advice would be appreciated.

I had a gf like that once. She sucked. One of the hallmarks of a good relationship is that you can hang out with friends that your sig. other hates without having to ask permission.

I wouldn't tell you friend to break up with her, but I would tell him to look out.
